No organisation found but heavy sentences handed down

At the verdict hearing of the Aziz İhsan Aktaş case, whilst the "organisation" charge collapsed, heavy sentences were handed down to mayors on other charges. Aktaş, for whom up to 280 years in prison was requested, received only 2 years and 8 months. Lawyers said, "The sentences are political, not legal."
