Comedian Deniz Göktaş, who caused a nationwide stir with his latest political satire show ‘Dead Sea’, has been in prison for 46 days. Göktaş, who returned to the country knowing that an investigation had been opened against him and was detained at the airport, is being held at the Karatepe High-Security Prison in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, known in the public eye as the ‘well-type’ prison. Deniz Göktaş, who has been in custody for 1.5 months and faces two charges, has still not had an indictment drawn up against him.
