The people, refusing to submit to the regime, seek a new political direction

ISTANPOL’s report, ‘Perceptions and Attitudes Towards Democracy in Turkey’, has revealed that the people have not surrendered to the regime. Yet citizens are being condemned to isolation by the political and representative mechanisms of the current system. According to the research, the opposition bloc is at a point where it cannot carry the people’s demands.

Nevertheless, broad sections of the public remain determined to stand up for the struggle against the Palace administration, for democracy and for the will for change.
