EU funds have provided a lifeline to foundations close to the regime, whose funding from municipalities was cut following changes in local government in March 2019. Under a decision dated 2 September, grant applications totalling 240,000 euros from Turkish National Foundation for , Turkish Foundation for Education and , the Society for the Dissemination of and the Ankara Imam Hatip Alumni were approved.
